You do not need to be Au+DHD ( Autistic, ADHD or AuDHD) to be here. You just need to believe that AU+DHD minds deserve tools built for them and not adapted from a neurotypical template.

If you are a therapist who has never had a client with AU+DHD? These tools will still work, because they are built on universal design principles that benefit everyone.

If you are an Au+ DHD creator tired of translating yourself into "standard" formats? These tools already speak your language.

What you will find here:

• Clinically-informed design tools (posters, planners, worksheets, digital assets)
• Affirming frameworks disguised as ready-to-use resources
• Nothing that requires you to mask, simplify, or apologize for how your brain works

One last thing:

We are a small shop. Everything here was tested on real AU+ DHD brains (including our own). If something doesn't work for you — email us. We are still learning, and the best tools come from the people who use them.

The world is neurodiverse. These tools help you build spaces that reflect that.

"Au+DHD" is an initialism that stands for Autism (Au) and ADHD (DHD) — with the plus sign (+) representing the inclusion and interconnectedness of all three neurotypes:

- Autistic (Au)

- ADHD (DHD)

- AuDHD (the combination of both)

The "+" acknowledges that these identities often overlap, and the term is intentionally inclusive of people who identify as Autistic, ADHD, or both.

AUplusDHD ( abbreviation, AU+DHD) is neurodivergent education platform designed to help people understand Autism, ADHD, and the combined AuDHD neurotype from an inside out perspective. We focus on one core idea that when you understand how a brain works, behavior starts to make sense.

Why AUplusDHD Exists

Many neurodivergent individuals grow up being misunderstood. They are often told that they are:

• “lazy”
• “too sensitive”
• “not trying hard enough”
• “overreacting”

But what if those interpretations are based on the wrong framework?

AUplusDHD was created to shift that lens. Instead of asking, “What’s wrong with you?”, We ask, “What does your brain need to function well?”

What is the "inside out" framework?

Instead of defining autism, ADHD, or AuDHD by external behaviors (what a clinician observes), this approach prioritizes lived experience, internal sensory and cognitive processes, and self-reported reality.

What We Do

We translate the neurodivergent experience. We break down complex concepts into clear, visual, and relatable explanations using:

• Stories
• Music
• Interactive components
• metaphors (like “different operating systems”)
• simple, scannable language

So both neurodivergent individuals and the people around them can finally understand what’s happening beneath the surface.

We Connect the Internal Experience to External Behavior

Many challenges associated with AuDHD are misunderstood because they are invisible. We help bridge that gap by explaining:

• what something feels like internally
• why it looks a certain way externally

This reduces misinterpretation and improves communication.

We Shift the Framework

Most advice is built for neurotypical brains. AUplusDHD focuses on helping people:

• recognize when a strategy doesn’t fit their brain
• understand why it didn’t work
• begin exploring approaches that align with their natural wiring
